How many people are listening, when, and where they are. Plus what has been played.
The statistics screen with the listening day and the hourly trend
Peak and average are not the same
Three numbers sit at the top, and the difference between them is the whole story.
Piek is the highest number listening at once. Gemiddeld is what was on on average over the period. Maximum is what your plan allows.
Four listeners for one minute is something entirely different from four listeners for the whole hour. So always look at both: a peak without an average is someone who dropped by.
If your peak is up against your maximum, that's the moment to consider a larger plan — above the limit a listener simply can't get in.
Your listening day
The clock shows how busy each hour was. The busiest hour is coloured separately, and the night is recognisable as a band. That's what you tune your scheduling to: a morning block only makes sense if someone listens in the morning.
Beside the clock is the same thing as bars. Each bar is one hour; the height is the peak in that hour. Hover a bar for the time and the average.
Listening right now
Split across your qualities. This is the place to see whether an extra stream still earns its keep: if nobody listens on a quality, it still costs an encoder on the server. That's the moment to ask whether you still need it.
Where they are
The country breakdown tells you whether your audience is where you think it is. For a local station with three quarters of its listeners on another continent something is up — usually an aggregator site that picked up your stream.
You also use these figures at Landblokkering, if you want to decide who gets in.
What has been played
At the bottom is the play history: which track started when.
An empty title or artist is more common than you'd expect, and it isn't a fault. Two causes: a live DJ doesn't always send metadata, and an ident from a playlist usually has none at all.
The period
You choose between 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days. To judge one broadcast take 24 hours; to judge your station take a month.
