    How the filter decides

    Every email gets a score from several checks. Above the threshold it goes to quarantine, not the bin.

    • Statistical filter (Bayes)

      Rspamd weighs words and patterns that appear more often in spam than in normal mail, and counts that towards the score.

    • Blocklists (DNSBL)

      Senders and links on well-known blocklists count heavily. Those lists are kept up to date by their maintainers.

    • Your own allow and block list

      Put trusted senders on the allow list and they always get through; unwanted domains go on the block list.

    • Virus scan (ClamAV)

      Attachments are scanned for known viruses and malware. An infected email never reaches your inbox.

    What exactly is spam filtering?
    Spam filtering analyzes all incoming emails before they reach your mailbox. Unwanted emails such as spam, viruses and phishing attempts are automatically blocked or placed in quarantine.
    How does it work with my existing domain?
    You simply adjust your MX records so email goes through our servers first. We filter the email and forward clean messages to your existing mail server. Works with any domain, regardless of where it's registered.
    What if a legitimate email is blocked?
    You receive a daily quarantine report with all blocked emails. With one click you can release an email. You can also whitelist senders so they're never blocked again.
    How long does setup take?
    After adjusting your MX records, filtering is active within a few hours. We're happy to help with DNS configuration if you need assistance.
    Can I use this with my existing email provider?
    Yes! Our spam filter works with any email provider: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, your own mail server, or hosting elsewhere. Your email stays where it is, we only filter.
    Does it work with Outlook, Gmail or Apple Mail?
    Yes. We filter the email before it reaches your mail server, so every mail client works: Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail or the app on your phone. You do not need to set anything up there.
    Does it filter outgoing email too?
    No, only incoming email. You send as you always do, through your own mail server or provider.
