We use cookies to make our website function properly and to improve your experience. For more information about cookies, see our Cookie Policy.

We keep track of how many people visit our website and which pages they look at. We do this with our own counter on our own servers. No Google Analytics or other third party is involved, and your data does not leave the Netherlands.

Nothing is stored on your device for this: no cookie, no local storage, no tracker. To tell whether two page views come from the same visitor, our server computes an irreversible code from your IP address, your browser type and a secret key. Your IP address and browser details are discarded immediately afterwards — only that code is kept. The key changes every night, so the same code no longer belongs to you the next day and no profile can build up over time.

What we keep in those statistics is: the page, the language, the type of device (mobile, tablet or desktop), the country, the website you came from and the time. Not: your IP address, your name, your email address or anything else that would let us recognise you personally. We keep this data for at most 400 days and use it only to improve our website.

One thing sits apart from that: while you are on the site, your IP address is held in a separate list, so that we can see who is looking at the site right now. That list holds one row per visitor and is erased half an hour after your last page view; nothing of it remains in the statistics above. We work out the country from that IP address ourselves, using a database on our own server — so no IP address goes to an outside service.

Because this measurement places nothing on your device, no cookie consent is required for it and you will not find a checkbox for it in our cookie notice. We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in knowing how our website is used. If you wish to object to that, you can do so via the address at the bottom of this statement.

We may adjust this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version can always be found on this page. In case of significant changes, we will inform you by email.
