A poll whose winner really goes on air is a reason to keep listening. That's why every choice is tied to a track from your library, and your station actually plays the winner.
A poll with two choices and the note on determining the winner
Making a poll
Click Nieuwe peiling, give it a question, choose when it closes, and add choices from your music library.
The closing time isn't decorative: the winner is only determined once voting is over.
When the winner is known
Only at closing. Not a second earlier — otherwise the last minute's votes would quietly not count.
In a tie, the choice highest in the list wins. That's arbitrary, but it's known in advance and therefore explainable to a listener who asks.
No votes means no winner. Nothing is then played.
Put it on your site with the right widget
Use the Stemmen widget under Op je eigen site. It has to be that widget and not your own form.
The reason: a vote is counted on the visitor's address. If your site forwards the votes, the platform sees one address for all your visitors — and then only the first vote counts. Your poll looks broken while nothing is broken.
Stopping a poll
Deleting is always possible, even while it's running. That works without polls being in your plan, too — someone moving to a smaller plan must still be able to finish a running poll.
The entitlement
Polls hang on the same entitlement as requests: "letting your listeners have a say". That isn't what the name suggests, but it's what the platform enforces. If it isn't in your plan you can read and clean up existing polls, but not start new ones.
