An app is the front end. What makes it work — the stream, the push notifications, the listener figures — runs on our own servers. So you never have to go back and forth between a builder and a host.

Everything you want to know

Which platforms do you build apps for?

By default we develop apps for iOS and Android — the most used platforms. An app for Windows or macOS is also possible. Get in touch to discuss the options.

Do I need my own App Store or Play Store account?

You do not have to, but you may. By default we publish apps under our own developer accounts. Want the app in your own developer environment at Apple or Google? Then you request a developer account yourself and pay the associated fees; we then publish your app in your environment. We charge a small one-off fee for this.

What about updates and changes?

We of course arrange changes after publication for you. There are costs involved, which we assess case by case based on the estimated time and re-publishing in the stores. The same applies to extra functionality. After approval of the plan and costs, we get to work as soon as possible. Updates to keep your app compatible with new devices and libraries are always discussed with you when needed.

Do I have to pay in advance?

Partly. Once you approve the quote, we ask for a 30% deposit of the agreed cost so we can prepare everything technically. Once the app is ready and approved by you, we ask for the remainder; after processing we publish your app to the stores.

How much does it cost to have an app built?

Costs vary greatly with complexity and features. A simple app starts from €10,000, an average app from €25,000 and complex apps from €50,000+. We always make a detailed quote first, after a discovery phase in which we go through your wishes and goals.

How long does it take to develop an app?

A simple app can be ready within 2-3 months. An average app takes 4-6 months and complex apps 6-12+ months. The lead time depends on complexity, the number of features, your feedback speed and testing requirements. We keep you informed throughout the process.

Do I get the source code of the app?

Yes, after full payment all source code, designs and ownership rights are transferred to you. You fully own your app and can always transfer it to another developer. We also provide full documentation.
